Earlier, Harley Quinn used to air on the DC Universe streaming platform. But now, after the arrival of HBO Max, WarnerMedia has rebranded DC Universe into DC Universe Infinite, a comic-only service. This service will provide the subscribers with a library of DC Comics as they release. While DC Universe Infinite will have comics, all the shows about DC will be moved to HBO Max, except Stargirl, which will air on the CW. And along with this news came that Harley Quinn Season 3 will release on the HBO Max streaming service platform.

What will be the plot for Harley Quinn Season 3?

Harley Quinn Season 2 ended with Harley and Ivy finally being a full-blown romantic couple. And the episode ended as the runaway couple escaped Ivy’s wedding in their getaway car. Now, having evolved from friends to lovers, Harley Quinn Season 3 will delve deeper into their relationship as they navigate their newly formed relationship. Both of these characters were previously in toxic or unequal relationships. And it would be the first time they are with someone that they love equally. Harley had been with The Joker for years as he kept tormenting and manipulating her according to his needs. Meanwhile, Ivy’s relationship with Kite Man was nothing bad. Bur the relationship was unequal as Kite Man loved Ivy more than she loved him. And till now, all we have got is Harley’s perspective, but henceforth, the episodes will delve deeper into Poison Ivy’s backstory and her point of view. Other than this, we could see who The Joker ends up with. And according to Justin Halpern, we are about to get a standalone Joker episode as well. This will be something similar to the Batman episode we got in Season 2. This will be something interesting as we have seen a new Joker perspective in the show. Other than this, we are even told that the show will have DC villain Mad Hatter make his appearance. We are even going to delve into Commissioner Gordon as he realizes his falling approval rating in Gotham City and how Gotham City Police Department has failed the city. Finally, according to the Music Composer for Harley Quinn, Jefferson Friedman, we will even be witnessing a full musical episode in the third season.

When will Harley Quinn Season 3 Release?

Harley Quinn Season 3 is expected to have its release date somewhere in late 2021 or early 2022. The next season of Harley Quinn is about to be a ten-episode installment into the anti-hero TV series. And like mentioned above, unlike the previous seasons’ release in DC Universe, Harley Quinn Season 3 is set to premiere on HBO Max. And according to the showrunner, Justin Halpern, the only reason the show would be delayed until the end of the year was that the animation takes time. On 20th February 2021, even Patrick Schumacker confirmed a sequel comic to show by DC. This story would tie loosely to the end of season 2 and could possibly come out before the Season 3 drops on HBO Max. He even confirmed two days later that the studio had officially started recording the voices for season 3. Also Read: DCEU: Why Are There Two Versions Of Justice League Movie?
